Here is my drive to work over the Howard Frankland Bridge. (Sorry, I spelled that wrong last time I mentioned it)

Back at Boca Ciega Bay yesterday the winds were between 25 & 30 mph.

The waves were really crashing into the bulkhead at this house on the point.

Right in the midst of all these waves and the wind howling, I looked out over the bay and spotted movement all the way across.  It looked like it was something moving on the water.  Sure enough…

Sorry, the phone doesn’t have optical zoom.  It just is a digital enhancement.  See the two sails of the boat dead center of the picture, sticking above the land on the far side of the bay?  Wow!  I sure would have liked to have been out there.  They were zipping back and forth across the bay pretty quick.  Notice they don’t even look like they’re leaning over?

And a sunset with a promise that the storm was almost over.

Here is a nice calm bay when I got home from work yesterday.

    • I was never in danger, but a lot of ships in the bay here didn’t fare so well. We had several driven to shore, and 1 sunk that I know of. I’m sailing today, so hope to get some pictures.

  1. Didn’t understand your Google instructions. What was I supposed to see? It was just a story about the bridge reopening.

    • What I meant was use that phase to search google. In my results list, the second and fourth links were from my blog. I don’t think other people are getting quite the same results. You have to look at the list to see if the url link points to capnrehab
